Barbara Klecker

August 7, 1950 ~ July 11, 2018 (age 67)

Barbara Rosella Klecker, age 67 of Owatonna, MN, died July 11th2018 peacefully at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Litomysl with burial following at the church cemetery.  Friends may greet the family from 4-7:00 PM Friday July 13, at the Brick Meger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral mass at church. A parish rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Friday at 3:45 PM. Barbara requests the dress attire to be casual for Friday’s visitation and Saturday’s funeral at the church.

 Barbara was born August 7th, 1950 in Blooming Prairie, MN, the daughter of Frank and Mable(Pavek) Srsen.  She grew up and attended school in Blooming Prairie, MN, graduating from Blooming Prairie High School in 1969.  On May 8th, 1971, she was united in marriage to James Frances Klecker at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Litomysl.  

Barbara and James started their journey in Hope, MN with their first house.  Then, after a few years, they moved to the family farm in rural Owatonna.  Barbara worked at OTC for 10 years and continued to work on the farm with James, Michael & David.

Barbara was a lifetime member at the Owatonna VFW Axillary and an active member of Holy Trinity Church. She enjoyed family, being outside, and working on the farm. 

Barbara is survived by her husband, James of Owatonna, two boys, Michael (Sara) Klecker of Owatonna, David (Patricia Osborne) Klecker of Owatonna. six grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, Alexis, Brendan, Joseph and Harbor.  She is also survived by a sister, Marlys Wencl of Owatonna, brother David Srsen of Blooming Prairie, brother-in-law, Victor Wanous of Owatonna and many nieces and nephews. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mable, an infant Sister Vera, sister Delores, brother Richard, brother-in-law Sylvester, sister-in-law Libby, and nephew, Kevin.
