Phyllis Irene (Wheeler) Yule of Medford, MN passed away peacefully Friday, November 30, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN at the age of 79.

Phyllis was born September 4, 1939 to Lloyd and Mary (Irving) Wheeler in Faribault, MN.  She attended Faribault School and shared a paper route with her brother, Jim, until the family moved to the family farm in Medford, MN at the age of 12.  Phyllis graduated from Medford High School in 1957.  Phyllis met her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Curtis Yule, in 1955 when she was working as a car hop at Anhorn's Rootbeer Stand in Medford, MN.  They were married on May 16, 1959 and shared 59 ½ years of marriage.

Phyllis worked at Bell Telephone as a switch board operator for 4 years.  In 1968, she and Curt purchased Drache Trucking and began Yule Transport, Inc, located in Medford.   She worked as the owner/office manager for 36 years until her retirement.

Phyllis will forever be remembered for her strong love of her family.  Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She made sure every holiday was special, but Christmas was her favorite.  From large family get-togethers to decorations to presents, she gave her family so many wonderful memories. She was a class act with a fighting Irish spirit and will be missed greatly.
